二十一世紀的教育強調全人教育及全球教育，除傳統教學本質外，更需具備多元化之國際特質與地球村生命共同體之整體概念。因此，培育具國際觀的專業人才，不僅是國內各技職校院發展之重點，亦是檢驗國內教育發展的重要指標。尤其技職專業教育是以人為本的專業，在全球化的趨勢下，如何能對準全球市場，使我國技職教育水準能與全球並駕齊驅，與世界同步，並能發揮自己的特色實是當務之急，而建立與其他國家技職教育的雙聯學制，是有效的學術溝通互動管道之一。

　　未來，將獎勵優秀學生出國進修、專業研習、交換學生及進行雙聯學制學習一併取得國內外學歷，以擴大學生國際學習經驗。同時，持續鼓勵教師赴國外進修取得學位或學分，選送教師赴國外姊妹校進行海外研習、舉辦國際學術研討會、進行國際產學合作計畫及赴國外著名學術機構進行短期研究等，培養教師具備國際觀。

　　於2022年2月1日起將原研究發展處國際交流組升格為「全球事務處」並設置「國際合作中心」及「兩岸合作中心」兩組。

The 21st century education emphasizes on holistic education and global prospect. To promote our research ability and international competitiveness, we are keen in expanding the international cooperation and interchanges. We provide support for the development and maintenance of international partnerships and relationships in order to advance our international ambitions.

Our academic staff are leaders in their field and carry out national and international research projects at the forefront of innovation and development. To future enhance the internationalization of AEUST, we plan to increase mobility of students and staff in the hope to earnestly cultivate their interests and develop global competencies, within interdisciplinary and international learning environments.
